The past ten years have been a rollercoaster of a fitness journey. At first, it was all aesthetics – I wanted to lose weight and feel comfortable in my skin. I had always been slightly overweight growing up and never the athletic kid. Progressively, as the results from my hard work began to show I realized that fitness has a bigger impact than what I saw in the mirror; instead, it became a commitment to myself. By purposefully structuring my day to coincide with a workout everyday – I became more disciplined, and I saw a change in not only my body but my overall mental health. Holding yourself accountable and making yourself do difficult things widens your horizons as a person because it breaks the barriers of what your mind thinks you are limited in doing. I feel so grateful to feel like this and my hope is to share this positivity and strength with others because they best thing you can do for yourself to is to feel your absolute best.
